Hey, I’m Stan and I'm 27, not 72! I'm Dad to a cheeky but very lovable toddler, Sophia, and I'll soon be a dad of two. Wish me luck! I love reading, music, writing, all things gym, running, kickboxing and Muay Thai, Formula 1, Harry Potter, The Big Bang Theory, the sport of Strongman and FOOD! I know; I have the most random of interests, don't I?
I also love proposals! I photograph them everywhere - in London, the whole of the UK and destination proposals overseas.
London is where I photograph proposals most often. There is so much about the city that captivates couples from the UK and overseas alike. The vibrant and romantic atmosphere and spectacular architecture is what couples love most about the capital. The iconic landmarks such as The Big Ben and Tower Bridge are amongst the most popular location choices but London has much more to offer. Hidden gems such as Kyoto Garden and St Dunstan in the East are amongst my favourite locations.
I’m all about capturing real moments and beautifully telling your story. I look out for the happy tears, heartfelt hugs, big laughs and everything in between. I believe your proposal is all about you. I don’t stage or set up any part of it, instead, I capture everything as it is - natural and authentic.

Questions You Might Have
-
Absolutely, I’m here to help however you need me to. The proposal photography package includes a video call, and if you’d like, we can set up more calls to dive deeper into the details or just chat things through. I’m all in to make sure everything goes smoothly.
-
I'd love to! I can recommend numerous locations in London and not only and also provide advice on logistics - best time of day for each location, etc.
-
Absolutely. I'm always incognito until you reveal me or your, hopefully, future fiancée realises I'm taking photos of you.
-
As a documentary photographer, my approach to capturing couples is natural, relaxed, and entirely unposed. Rather than asking you to look at the camera or strike a pose, I focus on capturing genuine moments that reflect your true selves and the unique connection you share. My goal is to build a comfortable rapport with both of you, ensuring you feel at ease and free to be yourselves in front of the camera.
-
I photograph proposals in London, the whole of the UK and abroad. However if you are more than two hours away from me I do add travel costs on.
-
You will receive your full gallery (40-60 individually edited images) within 7 days. I love previews and sneak peeks. I aim to send you at least one photo within 24 hours so you can announce your engagement if you wish to.
-
I regularly check the weather forecast to ensure we're prepared for any conditions on the day of your proposal. If rain is expected, there’s no need to worry—I’m always equipped with an umbrella in my camera bag. We have three options: wait for the rain to pass, use umbrellas to stay dry, or embrace the rain and make it part of the experience. Your proposal will be memorable no matter what!
-
I suggest you both wear outfits you love but which are also suitable for walking afterwards. I also advise people not to bring any rucksacks, shoulder bags or other distracting accessories which you might not want in your photos.

No words will ever be able to describe how incredible Stan was in capturing our very intimate proposal! He just got our vibe from the get go and was so so so intuitive in the moments that we wanted to be captured. Stan is extremely talented and I could not recommend him enough! Thank you, Stan! You’re a star!

Why is London Great for Proposals
London is one of the most iconic cities in the world. Its many landmarks, rich history, fascinating architecture and breathtaking views are a few of the reasons why it’s a great place to propose. For visitors from abroad and even locals, London holds a special significance, and if I had to guess, it’s probably one of the most romantic cities to get engaged in, after Paris. Whether you are envisioning a picturesque proposal in one of the Royal Parks, looking for a hidden gem tucked away from the crowds, such as St Dunstan in the East or the Reflection Garden at 25 Cannon Street, or a world-famous landmark, such as the Big Ben, London truly has it all. From private boats on the Thames to panoramic bird’s-eye views from the capital’s tallest buildings, there is something for every couple. Whatever your proposal plan might be, rest assured, you will be able to bring your vision to life.
I have been lucky enough to photograph more than 30 proposals in the past year and because of my local knowledge of London, I can be of great help to you when it comes to recommending a location and going through every logistical detail that matters for your exciting moment. Some of my favourite locations where I’ve photographed proposals in London include Kyoto Garden (part of Holland Park), Westminster Bridge - the arch under the bridge opposite the Big Ben, Hyde Park, Millennium Bridge, Tower Bridge, and some private locations such as the Electric Cinema in Notting Hill.
London is an ideal place to have your proposal captured on camera. Stunning photography opportunities are abundant. In a city where people are constantly snapping photos, cameras blend in effortlessly, so keeping your proposal a surprise and having it photographed at the same time is not a difficult task.

I can provide as much or as little guidance - it all depends on your needs. I also keep in constant communication on the day of your proposal and do my best to try and calm your nerves before the exciting moment.

Photography in the Capital
London is one of my favourite places for photography. I often visit the capital to practice my photography skills in general. What I really love about London, apart from the red double-decker buses, which make for some great slow-shutter speed motion blur backdrops, is the general vibe about the city. I particularly enjoy photographing couples in the quiet London streets that really have the traditional, historical feel about them. Many locations within London provide a distinctive, dramatic scenery which fits great with my style of photography. One minute you might be at Brick Lane, admiring the street art, the next minute you could be on the 50th floor of one of the tallest buildings, enjoying the views of the stunning London skyline. I also love photographing at the Royal Parks in London. The first London proposal I ever photographed was at Primrose Hill. I still remember the excitement I had on the day, and the incredible feeling I had when I brought the camera to my eye and composed against the beautiful view from the hilltop with Dhanesh on one knee, proposing to Katy, looking gorgeous within the frame.
